Investment Accountant Job Opportunity

This is an ideal role for a highly skilled professional who excels in investment accounting, financial analysis, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations for investment trusts and property portfolios.
  • Prepare regular financial statements and performance reports for investment properties and trusts.
  • Process investment transactions, including distributions, redemptions, and new investments.
  • Coordinate property valuations and maintain accurate asset valuation records.
  • Calculate and process regular unitholder distributions.
  • Perform comprehensive financial analysis on investment performance and property assets.
  • Assist with trust establishment documentation and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely NAV calculations for investment trusts.
  • Prepare detailed investment reports for stakeholders and trustees.
  • Reconcile investment accounts and maintain accurate records.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities for investment properties.
  • Assist with external audit preparations for investment trusts.
  • Monitor compliance with investment mandate requirements.
  • Liaise with property managers, external stakeholders, and service providers.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for investment accounting functions.
  • Support special projects and financial analysis as required.
  • Assist with systems implementation and enhancement for investment reporting.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance and/or accounting.
  • Previous experience in investment accounting or property trust accounting.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero, NetSuite, Tech1, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Knowledge of property investment structures and trust accounting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong relationship management capabilities.
  • Professional presentation and approach.
