Ecommerce Specialist Role

This role will be responsible for driving the visual merchandising of our product range on websites and enhancing navigation and discoverability of products sold.

  • Manage online visual merchandising in line with brand guidelines for the website and its subsidiary sites, including digital marketing campaigns.
  • Foster a deep understanding of categories and customer behavior through extensive online research, close collaboration with the Purchasing team, and data analysis from Google Analytics and other web tools.
  • Diligently research product specification requirements across all categories to set standards for product information sourced from suppliers.
  • Closely work with the Purchasing team to implement product merchandising best practices and quality control processes.
  • Perform ongoing site maintenance, including updates on navigation, search optimization, category and product pages, to keep content fresh and engaging.
  • Conduct comprehensive customer and competitor research to build a thorough understanding and expert category merchandising.
  • Analyze visitor browsing, purchasing behavior, and customer journeys across multiple channels, devices, and touchpoints to ensure our visual communication places the customer at the forefront.
  • Support business-driven data analysis to inform product strategies, including regular reporting and research.
Key Requirements

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A University Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in Online Merchandising, Digital Marketing, Website Layouts, Category Management, or CX functions, preferably in Retail or eCommerce environments.
  • A passion for understanding consumer behavior and improving the customer experience.
  • High analytical skills and ability to delve into data to make recommendations.
  • Experience with web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, is preferred.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
