**Job Summary:**

An exciting opportunity is presented for an individual with a genuine interest in Geriatric Medicine who wants to undertake training in this speciality. The advanced training positions are based at one of South Australia's leading acute referral, teaching, and research centres, where you will have the opportunity to gain a diverse range of experience.

You will be responsible for managing the care of all patients allocated to the department in consultation with the responsible Registrars, Consultants, Nurses and Allied Health professionals. You will maintain a high standard of patient care for inpatients and outpatients and provide an effective and accurate clinical handover of patient care at the change of daily shifts and the change of a clinical attachment.

A team player who can operate effectively as part of a team or individually, you will demonstrate competency in routine and common procedural ward-based skills. You will possess high-level skills in negotiation and communication, exhibiting the ability to display genuine empathy for patients and their relatives and family.
