About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our innovative Omnitech function in Australia. As a key member of our team, you'll work on various projects that enhance customer-facing platforms and have the opportunity to contribute to greenfield initiatives focused on AI and customer data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data management systems to support real-time data streaming using Spark.
  • Implement complex architectures and data pipelines in Azure Data Factory (ADF) for efficient data processing.
  • Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to provide direct and indirect data-related support.
  • Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices by implementing robust security measures and ensuring data integrity.
  • Develop processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production, and create custom software components and analytics applications.
About You and Your Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong experience with Azure cloud services, Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, Snowflake, and Databricks.
  • Familiarity with Spark implementation and real-time data streaming in Spark.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other programming languages.
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
