We are looking for an experienced Event Sales Executive to join our team. If you have a passion for meetings and events, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Your day-to-day will be varied and require attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to support the wider sales and operational team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Business Development Manager to secure and deliver personalized meetings and events for various venues.
  • Proactively source new business through building relationships with clients, existing and prospective, to achieve sales strategy goals.
  • Manage all event order preparation, reporting, and client account management.
  • Coordinate and host client site inspections to showcase unique event spaces.
  • Tailor guest-specific requirements to ensure successful delivery within hotel event spaces.
  • Liaise with clients to provide efficient and detailed proposals, responding promptly to all inquiries.
  • Maintain thorough communication between clients and relevant internal departments pre- and post-event.
  • Coordinate meeting and event materials, including conference kits, in collaboration with the Operational and Marketing Teams.
  • Update the conference database of key contacts/clients.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Conference/Sales Coordinator or within conference operations, ideally in a similar hotel environment.
  • Prior experience using Delphi is desirable, and experience with Opera and Micros is advantageous.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven attention to detail in administrative tasks.
  • Initiative to work independently and self-motivated.
  • Able to build internal and external relationships effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills, managing competing deadlines to achieve results.
