Coast Port Beach is an iconic Australian beachside venue.

We offer a full range of events, from weddings to concerts with up to 2,500 attendees.

We are seeking a motivated, client-focused, and enthusiastic Event Supervisor (Contract). This person will oversee a team of Food and Beverage Attendants to ensure the seamless delivery of weddings, corporate functions, and other events, maintaining client satisfaction and venue standards.

The role involves a mix of floor and office hours, suitable for a duty manager looking to upskill or a junior events professional seeking career advancement, with additional performance-based incentives.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Liaising with the Event Manager and Head Chef
  2. Setting up and dressing event spaces
  3. Executing event specifications according to run sheets
  4. Overseeing events including weddings, corporate functions, and social events
  5. Managing the Event Wait & Bar team
  6. Processing event charge accounts accurately
  7. Monitoring the customer experience to exceed client expectations
  8. Assisting with sales leads and learning the Event Coordinator role
  9. Working front of house as a duty manager when required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • IVVY and Hubspot experience (not essential but advantageous)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive personality
  • Flexibility to work varied hours
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Excel, Hubspot, Word, and other digital media (preferred)
