About the Role

This permanent full-time position is responsible for coordinating youth development programs and services for the City of Mandurah. The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in a community/youth development field and experience in leading a team and developing business plans and budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the City's innovative Youth Development Team and coordinate youth development programs and services.
  • Develop and implement business plans and budgets to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Supervise a team of 14 specialist Youth Development and Youth Program Officers.
  • Oversee the Billy Dower Youth Centre and the award-winning Mandurah Junior Council and Mandurah Youth Advisory Group.
  • Build relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to create new connections and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a community/youth development field or relevant discipline.
  • Leadership and staff supervision skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement business plans and budgets.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate to a wide cross-section of people and organizations.
  • Experience in maximising opportunities and supporting agencies in a co-located facility.
  • Current National Police Clearance and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

  • A competitive salary range of $125,891 to $134,254 gross per annum, plus an additional $14,000 gross per annum car allowance.
