The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is seeking an experienced Content Producer to join our team in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity to tell unique stories and shape the conversation in one of the country's most vibrant regional cities.

About the Role

As a Content Producer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content for ABC radio and digital platforms, serving our audience from the desert to the sea. You will research, write, and deliver on-air content for early programs, identify and develop compelling local stories, conduct interviews, and facilitate on-air discussions with community members, experts, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement content strategies that resonate with our diverse audience.
  • Collaborate with the news team to ensure seamless integration of local and national digital news coverage.
  • Engage with the audience through various platforms, including social media and community events.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you'll need exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of the local community, and a commitment to delivering high-quality journalism. Experience in radio broadcasting, storytelling, and content production is essential, along with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
