About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position as an Accounts Payable Team Lead, overseeing a team of 5 skilled accounts professionals. The successful candidate will have a variety of responsibilities within the company, including managing a team, reporting to the Financial Controller, and overseeing the day-to-day financial transactional activities of the accounts payable and receivable functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of 4-5 Accounts Payable professionals who process 2,500+ invoices and 3,000+ purchase orders a month.
  • Provide oversight and responsibility for the day-to-day financial transactional activities of the accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Oversight of the integrity of the transactional activity of the business.
  • Oversight of the data processing, reconciliation, and resolution of all transactional activity associated with accounts payable in a timely manner.
  • Oversight of the accounts receivable process, including the accurate and timely submission of client claims and billings, lodgment of claims on client portals, and settlement of outstanding debtors in a timely manner.
  • Management, assistance, guidance, development, and coaching of the teams of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Credit application and creation of new customer and supplier in accordance with operating standards.
  • Driving process improvements in the processing of transactional activity.
Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Analytical ability and attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, reliability, and timeliness.
  • A self-starter with experience in leading and managing a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with skills in Excel.
