Senior Data Analyst Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team. This role will involve working with large datasets to extract insights, analyze data, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex data analysis projects, collaborating with the Performance Analytics Unit to ensure accurate and timely provision of data.
  • Analyze data to support senior education profiles and national assessment program literacy and numeracy reports using R, SQL, Ruby on Rails, Microsoft Power BI, and other software.
  • Contribute to all aspects of the assessment and reporting program, including design, development, implementation, and analysis of data projects.
  • Provide expert advice on data analysis, extraction, and report production to internal managers and staff.
  • Maintain QCAA databases, ensuring they inform sound policy advice at any time.
  • Assist in performing quality control over large-scale datasets required for preparing school and student data.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in working within legacy code bases, leading change in complex environments.
  • Prioritize projects and tasks efficiently, demonstrating strategic leadership skills.
  • Takes ownership of complex analysis and reporting projects, driving accountability and outcomes.
  • Demonstrates strong teamwork and collaboration skills, working well across the organization to deliver accurate results.
  • Undertake tasks with high professional and personal integrity, considering risks involved with sensitive data.
