We are seeking a highly skilled Public Relations Communications Specialist to join our marketing and communications team.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on position ideal for someone with around four years' experience who is ready to take the next step in their career.
You will be responsible for driving and supporting media relations efforts, content creation, campaign delivery, and storytelling across various channels and audiences.
To succeed in this role, you should be a natural communicator with excellent writing and editing skills, able to adapt content across different platforms. You should also have strong initiative and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute media and communications strategies to promote the company's brand and services.
- Create engaging content for various formats, including press releases, website copy, social media, interview briefs, and award entries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal project teams to uncover surprising, meaningful stories from across the practice.
- Liaise with journalists and other stakeholders to pitch compelling stories and secure media coverage.
- Monitor media and cultural trends, bringing fresh, relevant ideas into the mix.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of communications projects, including major design announcements, events, publications, and milestones.
- Review media coverage and share relevant articles and insights with internal stakeholders; provide regular reporting on performance.
Requirements:
- Around 3-4 years' experience in PR and communications, experience working in agencies or in architecture and design is a bonus.
- Deep understanding of the media landscape, including crafting, pitching, and managing story development with journalists.
- Strong media relationships across news, business, lifestyle, architecture, design, and cultural sectors.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt content across media, digital, and internal platforms.
- Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Self-starter with strong initiative and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field.
