Support Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Wollongong. You will be part of a 24/7 care team to support a non-verbal male with an Acquired Brain Injury, providing full assistance with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as well as clinical support of the Ventilator, Tracheostomy & PEG.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Cares: pressure area care, skin integrity support, enteral feeding, suctioning, medication administration, bowel care support, catheter management, dysphagia management, non-invasive ventilation management
  • Clinical Support: manual handling including repositioning & transfers, meal preparation, feeding assistance and management at mealtimes, supporting in pain management, general household tasks, community participation
Your Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or above
  • Specific disability/complex care experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Manual handling certificate and experience, medication administration certificate, current first aid and CPR, Yellow Card/NDIS worker's screening check, NDIS orientation module, Working with children check
