Role Overview:

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the MEI team on a major infrastructure project in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality electrical engineering services that meet time, quality, and health and safety targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Certification of Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation for road tunnel and surface infrastructure.
  • Manage the delivery of projects to meet time, quality, and health and safety targets.
  • 20+ years of experience in MEI design and construction.
  • HV and LV substation installations and commissioning.
  • Managing and coordinating Building Services installation and commissioning.
  • Reviewing construction work lots and completion packages.
  • Reviewing and responding to ITPs, RFIs, SIs, and Non-Conformance Reports.
  • Early identification of potential MEI design and construction-related issues.
  • Manage all aspects of the client relationship to ensure delivery meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • Take a leadership role with the project team, providing direction and technical advice, and leading by example where appropriate.
  • Mentor and coach junior project team members, fostering their growth and development within Arcadis.
  • Actively engage with stakeholders and clients to understand their needs, identify opportunities for value-added solutions, and build long-term relationships that contribute to the growth and success of the business.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to translate the business strategy into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to develop Arcadis' client relationships.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Electrical Engineering or A-grade Electrical licenses. Construction project management-related areas are an advantage.
  • Relevant Project Management professional accreditation or equivalent experience.
  • Strong commercial background, including familiarity with contractual conditions and procedures, including international conditions, and ability to take commercial responsibility for a project.
