Job Overview

The role of Environmental Sustainability Manager encompasses leading environmental compliance across Defence projects. This position is responsible for ensuring that all environmental obligations are met through thorough planning, execution, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the approved Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and associated sub-plans to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Regularly conduct environmental audits, inspections, and monitoring to guarantee compliance with project specifications, Defence policies, and NT EPA requirements.
  • Maintain accurate environmental records including inspection reports and approvals for site activities.
  • Supervise subcontractor compliance with environmental requirements and provide on-site guidance as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Sustainability.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in environmental management within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Commonwealth, NT, and Defence environmental regulations.
