Senior Economist, Planning and Infrastructure Economics

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Economist to join our Planning and Infrastructure Economics team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping us plan for our cities, regions, and infrastructure needs.
Our team helps develop and prioritize projects, generating sustainable community benefits. We work with government and private investors to support energy and decarbonization, transport, and social infrastructure sector projects.
Your Key Responsibilities- Lead and deliver quantitative macro-economic and economy-wide modeling analysis of policies and projects.
- Develop and provide strategic economic advice to clients on infrastructure investments and future thinking.
- Collaborate with leading minds on economic issues and reforms nationally.
- Provide economics expertise and knowledge sharing internally and externally.
- Identify new opportunities in emerging industry trends.
- Support thought leadership on strategic, technical, and business issues.
- Confidence in delivering economic advice using economic theory and technical ability.
- Strong experience with quantitative and econometric analysis and economic modeling.
- Ability to communicate complex economic modeling and analysis clearly.
- Passion for economics and its impact on the Australian economy.
