Procurement Specialist Role

As a key member of the organizational team, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for planning and implementing effective purchasing strategies to meet business objectives. They oversee the procurement process, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timeliness while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic purchasing plans aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Monitor market trends and forecasts to inform purchasing decisions and mitigate potential risks.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure adequate supply of materials and products, managing inventory levels and tracking metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align purchasing activities with business objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum ten years' experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Superior negotiation and communication skills to effectively manage vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Proficient in data analysis and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage a team and drive procurement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
