Role Summary:

We are seeking a Trades Assistant to join our Operations & Maintenance team at the Tindal RAAF Base in the Northern Territory.

This opportunity offers the chance to work in the Australian Defence environment to support national security requirements, benefiting from working with a leading services provider in a long-term contract.

The successful candidate will be based at Tindal RAAF Base, supporting surrounding locations with occasional regional travel. You will be part of a core crew of technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team with scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment
  • Support project work as required on fuel installations and related assets and equipment
  • Support subcontracted work packages as required
  • Support various sites in the region, with occasional requirement to travel to different sites throughout NT
  • Perform general administration and ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements:

  • Previous labouring or trade experience is highly regarded
  • Previous experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas would be advantageous but not essential
  • Defence fuels network or defence industry experience will be highly regarded
  • Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regarded
  • Safety is paramount in everything you do
  • Current possession of, or ability to obtain, appropriate Defence Security Clearance
  • Savvy IT/computer skills
