Counsellor/Educator Job in Hedland

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor/Educator to join our team in Hedland, Western Australia.

  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and education programs in a supportive, trauma-informed framework.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing individualised support services to clients experiencing alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues, mental health concerns, or other life challenges.
  • Facilitating educational programs and group sessions to promote positive change and empowerment.
  • Maintaining accurate case notes and reporting in line with organisational standards.
Essential Criteria

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A relevant qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Community Services, or related field, or at least five years of relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • Minimum two years' experience in a counselling, education, or AOD/mental health support role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed practice and harm minimisation principles.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
