Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Studies of Religion Teacher to join our dedicated team. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students. Your expertise and passion for teaching will contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and spiritual growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
  • Demonstrate the ability and qualifications to teach Stages 4 & 5 Religious Education and Studies of Religion
  • Utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress and inform instruction
  • Employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
  • Support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
  • Integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Education
  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Eligibility to teach Religious Education at Bethany College
  • Requirements of Category D as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach and Lead
