Assist Research Scientists in Conducting Groundbreaking Studies

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support our team of research scientists in conducting cutting-edge studies. Job Description:

Support Research Scientists

The successful candidate will assist research scientists in designing, implementing, and analyzing studies, as well as contributing to the development of research papers, reports, and presentations. This role will also involve collaborating with colleagues and community members to collect data and conduct research activities.

  • Conduct Literature Reviews: Assist in reviewing and synthesizing literature related to child disability and intellectual disabilities.
  • Develop Research Protocols: Contribute to the development of research protocols and plans, including survey design, interview schedules, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Manage Data: Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from various sources, including surveys, interviews, and observations.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with research scientists, community members, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of research projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Relevant Tertiary Qualification: Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in a health-related field or have equivalent work experience.

  • Knowledge of Child Disability: Possess a strong understanding of child disability, including intellectual disabilities, and its impact on individuals and communities.
  • Writing and Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to write documents and reports, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, build strong relationships with colleagues and community members, and manage conflicts effectively.
