This role involves undertaking mechanical maintenance, installations, and corrective tasks on machinery and equipment. Additionally, you will play a key part in a team focused on developing and executing efficient preventative maintenance practices on site. The timely completion of preventative maintenance work as directed is crucial.

You will provide technical support to the maintenance and production teams. Where necessary, you will assist with root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for repetitive failures. You will also respond to specific requests regarding repair and/or maintenance details on a technical basis.

The successful candidate will possess strong fault-finding and communication skills. They will be able to problem-solve and demonstrate initiative. A keen, energetic individual with a good eye for detail, hard-working ethic, and willingness to learn is required.

The following qualifications and skills are essential for this role:

  1. Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical (Fitting/Machining) or equivalent qualifications.
  2. Forklift licence (highly regarded).
  3. Experience in the use of CMMS and other maintenance/reliability tools and practices.
  4. Confined space trained (ideal, but not required).
  5. Experience in Paper/Packaging or high-speed manufacturing facility would be highly regarded (but is not required).
  6. Ability to work overtime hours as required.
