Environmental Data Expert

You will be at the forefront of understanding and protecting diverse flora and fauna across vast areas, managing critical spatial data that underpins our knowledge.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for validating, processing, updating, and reconciling incoming and outgoing spatial data. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of complex geographical information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate, process, update, and reconcile incoming and outgoing spatial data.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for spatial data and systems.

  • Support a wide range of users to access spatial data.

  • Provide spatial data analysis, manipulation, and visualisation support to the team.

  • Consult with internal and external data suppliers to ensure data availability and consistency with our spatial data standards.

  • Maintain and create documentation related to our spatial data systems, including training materials, metadata, and workflows.

What You Can Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in Spatial Sciences, Environmental Science, or a similar discipline.

  • Demonstrated prior experience working with spatial data, navigating complex geographical information.

  • High-level experience with Esri's ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro.

  • Experience using Python in a spatial data context is desirable.

  • Experience with database management and/or SQL is desirable.
