Job Overview

We seek a Balance Sheet and Statistical Regulatory Reporting expert to join our team. As a trusted advisor, you will interpret regulatory requirements and provide guidance on appropriate treatments and judgments.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret complex regulatory frameworks and serve as a key advisor on treatment and judgment matters.
  • Maintain ongoing regulatory reporting governance through targeted assurance deep dives.
  • Implement regulatory reporting changes and internal initiatives in a pragmatic and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with business and regulatory teams to document and present recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Champion one of the team's focus areas, driving strategic initiatives and technical training.
Required Qualifications
  • Tertiary degree in business or commerce and relevant accounting certification (CA/CPA) with 6+ years of post-qualification experience in a large CA firm, financial services, or investment banking.
  • Financial or APRA reporting, APS310 audit, or financial services audit experience is highly regarded.
  • Experience in technical regulatory reporting and/or technical accounting advisory roles, requiring high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, enabling the ability to initiate and lead conversations with stakeholders, articulating complex technical matters simply.
