Company Secretary

We are seeking a highly skilled Company Secretary to join our Perpetual Wealth Business team. As a key member of our governance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of our boards and committees.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing the duties and responsibilities of a Company Secretary for PWM to various boards and committees as required by the Corporations Act, the Companies' Constitutions and any other relevant legislation or regulation;
- Ensuring that all matters relating to the effective and efficient operation of the boards and committees are attended to in a proactive and diligent manner;
- Ensuring that regulatory and corporate governance requirements are met and liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required;
- Providing support to the board on legal matters, particularly in relation to corporate governance and compliance;
- Incorporating best practice corporate governance processes into board business and maintaining strong corporate governance frameworks.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Proven experience as a Company Secretary or in a similar governance/compliance role;
- Outstanding organizational skills, including ability to set priorities and pursue tasks to completion within deadlines;
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communications skills;
- Advanced computer and document control knowledge and experience;
- Experience with electronic board, share registry and regulatory portals;
- Outstanding attention to detail;
- Self-motivated with high level of initiative, with minimal supervision from the CFO, PWM;
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment; flexibility and a willingness to adapt to a changing digital environment.
