Your New Role

This position plays a key role in implementing WHS initiatives, collaborating closely with the WHS Manager to deliver annual plans, conduct risk assessments and audits, and champion a positive safety culture across the organisation.

You will oversee the development and implementation of WHS policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections to ensure compliance with legislation and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective WHS policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support the development and delivery of WHS, wellbeing and mental health initiatives.
  • Manage administration, reporting and data analysis.
  • Become a subject matter expert on WHS and serve as a point of contact for enquiries.
  • Coordinate meetings of the WHS Committee and provide support for Mental Health First Aider training and meetings.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of WHS training and induction programs.
  • Support the return-to-work program and early intervention strategies.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments.

Requirements:

  • Cert IV in Work, Health & Safety.
  • Demonstrated experience working in WHS within a corporate environment.
  • Experience supporting mental health and wellbeing programs.
  • Strong understanding of WHS regulations and legislation.
  • Proven ability in developing policies and procedures.
  • Experience supporting WHS Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of incident and risk management principles.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Return to Work and claims management experience.
  • Mental Health First Aid certification.
