Ranger Services Position

The City has exciting opportunities for motivated individuals to join the Ranger team.

As a Casual Ranger, you will assist the Ranger Services Team in meeting ongoing operational demands by covering roster gaps.

You will work closely with the public to enforce and promote awareness of local laws, parking, fire prevention, animal management, and relevant legislation to ensure a safe and secure community.

  • Effectively apply and administer the responsibilities related to animal management, local laws, parking, camping grounds, caravan parks, off-road vehicles, and litter as per the relevant legislation, Council, and community expectations.
  • Provide effective customer engagement and build relationships with customers to ensure a consistent and responsive customer experience.
  • Proactively enhance the knowledge of customers in relation to the services provided by the Ranger Services Team and provide customers with the skills and abilities to find critical information if they so choose.
  • Respond to general enquiries and complaints relating to the area of expertise and ensure reviews of infringements are handled in a timely manner.
Requirements

The successful applicant will possess relevant qualifications and experience suited to ranger services.

Sound written, verbal, and interpersonal skills for negotiation and communication with customers and the public are essential.

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions.
