Environmental Services Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Services Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will provide senior leadership in the management of environmental obligations, contributing to reducing the risk to human health and the environment from pollution or waste.

About the Role

The Manager will be responsible for identifying, managing, and mitigating environmental and contaminated land risks in the port area. This will involve providing specialist advice to internal divisions and stakeholders on contamination assessment and management aspects of development proposals, site works, property acquisitions, property leases, infrastructure licenses, dredging, and other issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide senior leadership and specialist advice for the environmental assessment and management of assets and lands.
  • Provide effective environmental management to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities and ISO Standard 14001:2016.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce environmental risks and improve sustainability.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A working knowledge and understanding of Integrated Management Systems relating to ISO Standards Quality 9001:2016, Environment 14001:2016 & OHS 45001:2018.
  • Sound knowledge of various State, Federal, and International Environmental Legislation.
  • A tertiary qualification in a related discipline, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of principles and methodologies for effective stakeholder engagement.
