Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain and improve the school grounds, facilities, and buildings
* Ensure safety is maintained within the work area when completing tasks
* Undertake regular routine inspections and identify issues requiring maintenance
* Undertake routine repairs, cleaning, and maintenance of the facilities
* Maintain all doors, gates, and locks to a safe standard
* Work with contractors to attend to tasks that require registered tradespeople and ensure OHS requirements in relation to sub-contractors are met
* Undertake small building projects and painting as required
* Repair/maintain furniture as required
* Move furniture and equipment as required
* Liaise with the Business Manager/Assistant Principal on a regular basis
* Support staff in relocating furniture and equipment
* Ensure that tools and equipment are in a serviceable condition
* Ensure that the maintenance sheds are always clean and orderly in accordance with OH&S principles
* Work together with the management team to ensure that occupational health & safety requirements are met
* Work within DET OHS Guidelines

Requirements:

* Individuals with the aptitude, experience, and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position

Working at heights training is mandatory, as working on the school roof will be part of the position requirements.
