Job Opportunity: Supporting Young People

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for empowering young individuals to reach their full potential, regardless of their background or personal circumstances.

  • Coordinate the delivery of supportive care and community development initiatives to meet student wellbeing needs and attendance targets.
  • Plan and lead wellbeing programs for students to foster a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Support the delivery of vocational training programs offered to students, promoting academic and personal growth.
  • Assist in delivering associated programs, services, and events designed to benefit young people through the operation of the campus.
  • Form intentional relationships with young people to support their strengths, passions, interests, and unmet needs through the operation of the school.
  • Support and case manage identified students in line with school policies and practices.

Requirements:
  • Hold a Certificate IV or above in Youth Work, Community Services, or other relevant qualifications.
  • Hold a Positive Notice Blue Card, or be willing to obtain one.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with young people, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds, and their families.
  • Ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour management strategies to maintain a supportive environment.
  • Commitment to working with young people using the Strengths Approach and demonstrating a non-judgmental, empathic framework.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
