Job Title: Plant Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in operating plant equipment and machinery, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain plant equipment and operate all equipment to a high standard.
  • Report any hazards or safety concerns related to plant equipment.
  • Operate plant machinery where licenses or permits allow.
  • Perform daily checks and pre-use checks on all equipment.
  • Assist tradespersons as required.
  • Work within health and safety guidelines to ensure the security and safety of self, staff, visitors, and animals.
  • Sourcing materials and job planning.
  • Assist with general building and maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of machinery/equipment within relevant departments.
  • Liaise with external contractors.
  • Draft, design, and provide feedback on facilities and displays when plant machinery is in operation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • White Card.
  • HR truck license.
  • License to operate excavator.
  • License to operate skid steer.
  • License to operate backhoe.
  • License to operate forklift.
  • Full manual driver's license.
  • Proof of Coronavirus vaccination (unless otherwise exempt).
  • Current Advanced 1st Aid Qualifications.
  • Understanding of OSHA Standards.
  • Ability to follow, understand, and practice operating procedures.
  • Proven ability to work well within a team.
  • Commitment to working in a safe environment.
