About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Banking Consultant to join our team at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the financial needs of customers and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate opportunities for deposits and home lending using a structured sales process.
  • Provide recommendations to the Branch Manager for initiatives to improve sales performance.
  • Assess customer needs through open and targeted communication, and recommend appropriate options using a proven sales process.
  • Provide accurate and timely service by processing over-the-counter transactions in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Actively promote and support customers in the use of alternative electronic distribution methods for conducting day-to-day banking.
  • Support and demonstrate a risk management culture in line with the Bank's values.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks and issues related to your role responsibilities, and adhere to the bank's complaint resolution process.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, or finance are desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in a retail customer sales and service environment.
  • Analytical skills to develop solutions and courses of action, and recommend solutions by using an information base to identify key issues.
  • Attention to detail to accurately check and process tasks, and show concern for all aspects of the role.
  • Change management skills to recognize, understand, and support the need for change, and anticipate the impact on both the team and self.
  • Commercial acumen to recognize and implement business strategies to drive profitable growth, customer acquisition, customer experience, and sales productivity.
  • Communication skills to convey and explain information, coherently and confidently, both orally and in writing.
