Job Title: ECC Veterinary Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ECC Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Animal Referral Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional emergency and critical care services to pets and their owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill and injured patients under the supervision of our experienced veterinarians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Assist with emergency procedures, surgeries, and diagnostics.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with the veterinary team and pet owners.
  • Participate in continuous learning and development to enhance skills and knowledge in ECC nursing.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a veterinary nurse, preferably in emergency and critical care.
  • Strong technical nursing skills, including proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood sampling, and anesthesia monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
  • A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to animals and their owners.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster.
