Job Title: ECC Veterinary Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ECC Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Greencross Vets in Norwood.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art veterinary facility, delivering exceptional care to critically ill and injured patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care, monitoring patients' vital signs, and assisting with emergency procedures and surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional nursing care to critically ill and injured patients under the supervision of our skilled veterinarians
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments as required
  • Assist with emergency procedures, surgeries, and diagnostics
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
  • Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with the veterinary team and pet owners
  • Participate in continuous learning and development to enhance skills and knowledge in ECC nursing
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a veterinary nurse, preferably in emergency and critical care
  • Strong technical nursing skills, including proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood sampling, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
  • A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to animals and their owners
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
