Design & Build Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled HSE Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our clients and employees.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO accreditations and schedule periodic audits to maintain these standards.
- Integrated Management System (IMS) Management: Manage the IMS system and implement initiatives to improve it, including procedures, processes, and safe work systems.
- Internal Audit and Compliance: Establish and enforce an internal audit schedule to ensure compliance with accreditations and legislation across all sites and offices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with registration bodies, authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers as necessary.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting: Hold overall responsibility for incidents and near-miss investigations and reporting.
- Legislative Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Ensure the company meets legislative obligations and drives continuous improvement in health and safety.
- Standardization and Training: Standardize the approach to standards among project teams and develop and deliver relevant health and safety training throughout the organization.
- Additional Projects: Undertake additional projects as assigned by management.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong background in fitout and refurbishment projects.
- Qualifications: Recognized HSEQ qualifications and previous experience running an IMS system compliant with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 through accredited bodies.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to lead from the front.
- Technical Skills: Proficient use of MS Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
- Driver's License: Valid NSW driver's license.
