CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Newcastle, working a 9-day fortnight with day and afternoon shift rotation and occasional overtime. This role will challenge you to think creatively and work with high volume production and jobbing work, providing plenty of variety.

• Execute CNC Machining, including programming and operating a range of machinery, including multi-axis lathes and machining centres.
• Build your skills and knowledge in machining special steels.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and provide feedback via our maintenance management systems.
• Learn about safety management and contribute to a safe working environment.

• Hold a relevant mechanical trade qualification or be currently completing your apprenticeship.
• Demonstrate an ability to read and understand G-Code.
• Demonstrate an ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Have experience with Fanuc, Siemens or Fagor Controls, which is highly desirable.
• Utilise or be working towards proficiency in CADCAM systems, which is highly desirable.
