Job Title: Family Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Family Support Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with children and young people in care, supporting them to achieve their case plan goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised therapeutic case plans to support the needs of each child or young person
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people
  • Support children and young people to develop life skills and independence
  • Attend regular meetings and reviews to discuss progress and make adjustments to case plans as needed
  • Participate in on-call rosters to provide out-of-hours support
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new policies and procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working with children and young people in care, particularly those with trauma and attachment issues

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Child Protection Act and the Children's Services Act
