Senior Technical Security Capability Lead

The Australian Government Department of Defence is offering a highly competitive remuneration package for the role of Senior Technical Security Capability Lead, in the Technical Surveillance Countermeasures team.
About the RoleThis technical security capability development manager position attracts a salary of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Designing and implementing technical solutions to advance the department's technical security capability.
- Integrating new technologies and methodologies.
- Providing comprehensive technical evaluation and analysis of equipment and technologies.
- Managing research and development initiatives of emerging technical threats to Defence.
- Providing advice on complex technical security matters to key stakeholders.
- Leading integration testing and evaluation of systems and subsystem components using industry standard test equipment.
As a dynamic and highly skilled unit, the Technical Security Capability Development team contributes to safeguarding sensitive information by applying engineering principles and methodologies to complex technical matters, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches.
Our Ideal CandidateWe are seeking a critical thinker with a comprehensive understanding of Defence's operating environment, and a demonstrated interest in emerging technologies and its uses within a security context. A Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Radio Frequency technologies is essential.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in managing teams, leading projects, teaching groups and should be able to present, and tailor, presentations to a wide range of customers with varying technical experience.
A prior knowledge of WHS requirements, regulations and policy would be an advantage. Previous use and knowledge of radiation equipment and safety regulations, electrical work and safety, and previous TSCM experience would also be looked upon favourably.
