Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Engineering Asset Manager to join our team in Sydney. As a Senior Secondary Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise associated with protection relays, field devices, control devices, and auxiliary systems.
- You will provide expert input into asset management strategies and philosophies, as well as protection, control, and automation device and scheme performance and technical specifications.
- Additionally, you will contribute towards maintenance policy/practices, initiate projects, and support the implementation of asset management and asset replacement initiatives.
In this role, you will assess and review the condition of installed protection, control, and automation assets, and investigate and analyze equipment failures or problems. You will also make technical decisions in relation to protection, control, and automation schemes and devices, and approve relevant technical documentation.
Measures of SuccessYour success will be measured by your ability to deliver capex and opex works programs approvals for protection, control, and automation devices from year to year, as well as ensuring all protection, control, and automation devices documentation is kept current. You will also need to complete incident and failure investigations within required timeframes to the required quality.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of engineering/asset management experience
- Demonstrated commitment to safety outcomes
- Understanding of Asset Management leading practices, frameworks, and relevant standards
- Ability to lead and coordinate failure and incident investigations
