About the role

At L'Antica Trattoria, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for creating and executing exceptional dishes that showcase the finest local and seasonal ingredients.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Italian dishes to the highest standard
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and refine the menu, ensuring it reflects the latest food trends and customer preferences
  • Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
  • Adhere to all food safety, hygiene and health regulations
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
  • Participate in menu tastings and provide feedback to refine and improve dishes

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Chef in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant environment
  • Relevant qualification - Advance Diploma of Hospitality Management is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and a passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen
  • A team player with the ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
  • Creativity and flair in presenting and plating dishes
