Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Senior Technical Artist to join our team in crafting innovative captcha challenges. Your role will involve collaborating with the team to conceptualize and produce captcha challenges utilizing Blender alongside Python for large-scale image generation. These challenge images will undergo A/B testing with live audiences and will be evaluated against proprietary machine learning tools to assess their effectiveness against automated attacks. Your contributions will play a crucial role in safeguarding numerous widely-used online services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Innovate and develop new puzzle concepts, ensuring production at scale with appropriate image variations.
- Validate metrics for puzzle solvability by real users and evaluate the complexity of puzzles against automation techniques.
- Focus on automating repetitive tasks and promote the development of tools to enhance team productivity.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with 3D software, including at least 2 years with Blender.
- At least 2 years in a similar Technical Artist role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python (a coding portfolio is highly valued).
- Strong lateral thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with asset management tools (e.g., Perforce, Plastic SCM, GitHub).
- Passion for creating internal tools and automation to enhance workflows.
- A commitment to quality in all deliverables.
Desirable:
- Background in cyber security.
- Degree or relevant experience in Game Design, 3D Animation, or similar fields.
- Experience in game concept prototyping or proof of concepts.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and sculpting (Zbrush/Blender).
- Familiarity with scripting within Blender.
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Skills in data interpretation and validation.
- Experience in user experience testing.
- Familiarity with machine learning and computer vision.
- Experience with project management tools like Jira.
- Understanding of AWS services (S3, DynamoDB).
- Experience in customer communication.
