Cancer Survivorship Dietitian Role

We are seeking a skilled Cancer Survivorship Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team at The Prince of Wales Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized dietetic assessment and advice to patients living with and beyond cancer.

  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans to support patients in managing common dietary concerns faced by cancer survivors, such as reducing the risk of cancer recurrence, managing fatigue, and optimizing cardiovascular and bone health.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients, including oncology specialists, exercise physiologists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Support patients in achieving healthy lifestyles and general well-being through education, guidance, and advocacy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field.
  • Extensive post-graduate clinical experience in Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.

Selection Criteria

  • Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award.
  • Extensive post graduate clinical experience in Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
