Job Description:

We are seeking a self-starting Research Quality Manager to support our University in achieving the highest possible standards in research. This is a full-time, permanent position.

The successful candidate will lead the preparation of our submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) to produce the highest quality outcome for the University.

  • Manage impact in relation to REF and support the REF Steering Group, Unit of Assessment coordinators, and the Pro-Vice Chancellor Research.
  • Deliver the Annual Monitoring of Research (AMR) evidence-led process and developmental tool to support both REF and business planning of our Knowledge Exchange and Research Institutes.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading the Preparation of REF Submission

Prepare the University's submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF), ensuring that it meets the highest quality standards.

Managing Impact and Supporting REF Steering Group

Manage the impact of research at the University and provide support to the REF Steering Group, Unit of Assessment coordinators, and the Pro-Vice Chancellor Research.

Delivering AMR Process and Developmental Tool

Develop and deliver the Annual Monitoring of Research (AMR) evidence-led process and developmental tool to support REF and business planning.
