Financial Planning Manager for Sports and Racing Firm

Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Financial Planning Manager to join our expanding Head Office team and help manage the company's finance activities in this newly created role. As a result of sustained growth, this position requires a hands-on approach where you will be exposed to a broad range of responsibilities, including financial analysis, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities- Preparation of consolidated financials on a monthly basis, including balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow;
- Monthly management reports tracking performance against budget;
- Preparation of year-end financial statements, including working with external auditors and tax advisors;
- Preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefits Tax, and Income Tax Return;
- Preparation and lodgement of monthly wagering reporting, including sporting and racing bodies, state/territory wagering taxes, and external service providers;
- Identify and implement systems improvements to streamline financial processes;
- Assistance with customer accounting and payments;
- Assistance with all financial aspects of our international growth strategy.
- Must be CA/CPA qualified with strong post-qualification accounting experience;
- Background in a Big 4 accounting firm or ASX listed environment is highly preferred;
- A strong ability to read, understand, and analyse legal agreements to ensure compliance with relevant regulations;
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- High degree of competency in MS Excel;
- Ideally have a strong interest in racing and/or sport.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
