About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Assistant Company Secretary to join our team at Rest. As a key member of our Trustee Governance and Secretariat team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of our board committees and providing high-quality governance and accountability advice to our senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the General Manager in advising on and enhancing the governance and accountability framework
  • Manage, maintain, and enhance the delegations framework
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with peer Company Secretaries and other stakeholders
  • Monitor regulatory and legislative developments relating to governance and accountability
  • Identify, advise, and educate on emerging governance and accountability risks
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with peer Company Secretaries and other stakeholders
  • Manage the end-to-end operations of a portfolio of board committees
Requirements
  • Experience as a company secretary and in advising on governance and accountability matters
  • Proven understanding of governance principles and practices, including current governance trends, regulations, and legislation
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering end-to-end secretariat services, provision of high-quality advice and support to boards and senior executives, and governance and accountability initiatives and practices within a complex corporate environment
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a collaborative team member, and who is highly motivated, adaptable, and proactive
