You will be accountable with the management team for the overall success of the Banquets Department, capitalizing revenue and delivering crystal clear communication.
Leading the team to accomplish daily goals and ensuring the highest level of service by training and developing staff and executing the requirements of events based on standards is a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities include effectively delivering and managing conferences, events, high teas, weddings and social events, working closely with the conference and events sales and coordination team to ensure successful events for all clients, liaising with clients and suppliers to achieve the best outcome for the department, and training and developing staff to deliver a high level of customer service.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong attention to detail, advanced time management skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Building strong relationships with clients and colleagues through effective communication is also essential. Leadership and mentoring abilities are required, as well as excellent personal presentation and presence.

Requirements include experience in delivering all types of events in a fast-paced environment, ideally in a 5-star setting, holding a current RSA certificate, and having barista experience preferred.
