Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility in Prestons, working night shifts from Monday to Wednesday. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating machine-related operations, ensuring efficiency, and upholding quality and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with production teams to ensure required machines are available and in acceptable condition.
- Install and commission new machines, working closely with the Engineering and Facilities Manager.
- Train Manufacturing Technicians in agreed skills to support or complete technical aspects of machine setting.
- Plan and coordinate machine maintenance and machine setting activities to meet production targets.
- Source spare parts and maintenance consumables, maintaining a process for managing inventory of maintenance materials.
- Ensure the quality of the product and service within the factory is maintained at the highest possible standards.
- Mechanical Trade Qualifications.
- Restricted Electrical Licence (desirable).
- Working at Heights Certificate (desirable).
- Confined Space Certificate (desirable).
- Forklift Licence (desirable).
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in maintenance and machine setting, preferably in a TGA/GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Experience of machines in production processes.
- Experience in managing situations with tight quality and efficiency parameters.
- Experience with machine installation and commissioning.
- Experience with mechanical fault finding.
- Experience with machining, welding, and fabrication.
