Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Support Children's Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development of young children through engaging and interactive activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. As a Support Children's Development Specialist, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that fosters social, emotional, and intellectual growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a range of activities and experiences that promote physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development in children
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and their families, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment that meets the needs of children and their families

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a service or activity setting (relevant qualification desirable)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children and their families, using positive and respectful language
  • Satisfactory criminal history check, Working with Children Check, and pre-employment functional assessment
  • Full COVID vaccination with 1 booster
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with children and families
  • Highly organized with prioritization and problem-solving abilities

The position is located at SPYCC & Activity Hub in Sanctuary Point, and parents or carers will remain on site and maintain responsibility for their children.
