Advanced Practice Nurse - Emergency Department Specialist
About the Role:This role offers an exciting opportunity to join Canberra Hospital's Emergency Department, a major tertiary and referral centre for the ACT and surrounding regions. The department provides care for adults and children of all ages, with specialized assessment and treatment for illnesses and injuries.
As an Advanced Practice Nurse in this position, you will be responsible for delivering episodic treatment for minor injuries and illnesses through advanced clinical assessment, supported by treatment protocols and standing orders.
Key Responsibilities:- To work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
- To assess patients' needs and develop individualized plans of care.
- To administer medication and perform procedures as required.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure. A strong background in emergency nursing and experience in leadership or education roles would be highly regarded.
