Senior Electrical Engineer Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong understanding of Medium Voltage (MV) systems and relevant Australian Standards. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and oversee the design of MV systems for our data centre projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis, along with a minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical design of buildings and a Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Technical Director in monitoring engineering/CAD resource requirements for each project within your control.
  • Detailed design of MV systems.
  • Leading and delivering concept and detailed design of MV substation primary systems.
  • Primary systems design, including producing SLDs, HV substation layouts, equipment/materials lists, clearance checks, and short circuit force calculations.
  • Carrying out engineering concept design to detailed design, tender, and contract on-site supervision to completion, ensuring projects meet design briefs and deadlines are achieved.
  • Liaising with the design team to produce coordinated designs that are technically compliant, consistent in quality and standard.
  • Providing positive contributions to design/project meetings.
  • Maintaining regular 'in-house' design reviews and checks.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical design of buildings.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong knowledge of MV systems and relevant Australian Standards.
