Maintenance Superintendent Opportunity

Randstad is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Superintendent to join a leading mining client in South Australia. This exciting opportunity is part of the client's expansion plans, making them one of the newest producers of concentrated energy in the world.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Mine Manager and be a key member of the senior leadership team. They will be instrumental in the success of the project, driving safety culture and efficient work practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement maintenance planning systems and processes
  2. Lead a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support
  3. Continual development and implementation of long and short-term maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities
  4. Drive a strong focus on preventative and predictive maintenance schedules, reducing reactive maintenance practices
  5. Ongoing management and reporting of the maintenance budget
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 5-10 years experience in a similar senior level position
  2. Tertiary qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering (or similar)
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of control systems would be advantageous
  4. Experience in maintenance management systems
  5. Previous experience managing a diversely skilled maintenance team
  6. Strong knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements in a mining environment
  7. Ability to build strong relationships with leaders and staff
  8. Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  9. Excellent communication, influential, and interpersonal skills
  10. Current national police clearance, or willingness to obtain
  11. Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical
  12. Full Australian working rights
  13. Possession of an Australian C Class driver's license minimum

The role is offered on an 8/6 FIFO roster ex Adelaide Airport with camp accommodation provided. Preference will be given to those with relevant heavy mining, oil & gas or water industry experience.
